We went to a gorgeous living history museum today here in Southern Wisconsin! It was so refreshing to walk in wide open spaces without telephone lines or highways or cement. Peaceful birdsong, weathered wooden fences, stone houses, blue skies, evergreens and budding oaks.
Old World Wisconsin is a wabi-sabi wonderland 😀

Lovely! I love seeing and admiring the weathered woods, stones, and glass…the workmanship of man and nature…something soothing about it all. 🙂

My dad and I have this running joke that we’re going to secretly set up a cabin back in the woods there and sneak in dressed as docents and pretend we belong there. But we’ll really live back there, we won’t leave at night!!
