The night sky always reminds me that we are nothing. And somehow… that’s okay. It might even be preferable.
These days I love taking my dog out for the last bathroom break of the night: Hello, stars and night. I remember you. I remember being up and out after dark. Sitting around campfires, walking through new year’s forests with friends, breathing in chilled air and thrilling in it.
These days I go to bed at night, but I remember those days of freedom that made me.
