Autumn always brings the insects out of the foliage! It’s like they’re so busy preparing for winter that they don’t have the luxury to hide from prying eyes anymore.
Lucky for us!
The other day’s cricket joke got me thinking more about bugs in general, which, of course means I’ve been seeing them everywhere! It was interesting to introduce my 10-month old to bee-watching after he’d already learned what butterflies are.
Every time we see a butterfly, we “run” after it in joy and wonder.
How do you explain to him that a busy flower patch full of all different kinds of bees is equally as awe-inspiring and also that if he tries to chase and grab them, that he’ll regret it? Tricksy!
The only bee-sting so far has been to myself while raspberry picking, so far, so good. 😉
