I’m beginning the new year by developing a full product line of one-of-a-kind pottery! I have a kiln-full of bowls getting ready for their third oxide firing (including a really nice sculptural bowl!), a beautifully textured serving bowl slowly drying along with two molds for making plates. And I’ve started making mugs!
My pottery is all one of a kind, but it all goes together. I’m using them as color tests for my final sculpture colors.
When I find the perfect bowl colors for each sculpture, I’ll be able to dive in to putting color on the bear goddess sculptures and getting them and the other Worlds Within Worlds sculptures ALL finished.
I’m feeling so rooted and plentiful lately.
(See last week’s post about finding your core desired feelings!)
Ever since my first clay class in college, I took to it with ease and ever since I graduated, 16 long years ago, I’ve been making excuses about why it’s not the right time to get back into making art, about how it’s too expensive.
I’ve said it before and I’ll probably say it again, the time to live your dreams is always now!
If, like me, you’re dreaming of a world with more clay and less plastic, sign up here for my email list and I’ll make sure you get a chance for a special coupon code when I’ve got the whole line of new pottery up and in my online shop!
