I love the idea of creating wonder moments for people!
I graduated with a concentration in ceramic sculpture 12 years ago and I *finally* bit the bullet and bought a used kiln! I did a test fire with these pieces I already had made up and waiting and the kiln totally works!! So what’s next?
Large-scale installation sculptures are my dream!
Imagine you’re on vacation and exploring the downtown of a little seaside community when you come upon giant barnacles growing out of the wall by the shoe store. And then around the next block, some giant barnacles trying to grow up the steps of the little art gallery.
Of course, they aren’t barnacles, they’re ceramic sculptures, but admit it, for a moment you were awestruck by nature’s ability to grow something like that. Now you’re awestruck by the art you know them to be.
Natural stone necklaces and men’s surfer jewelry are paying the bills right now, but I need to make some extra money from them so I can buy clay ingredients!! There are a million ideas knockin’ around my head trying to get out 😀
Want to help bring more wonder into the world?
Buy your friend a birthday present!!
Together we can help people remember to stop and look around at the beauty that’s in every moment. Ceramic sculptures are going to be my newest tool for the job!

The smaller ones look like blueberries. Love the idea of giant barnacle installations!

That’s exactly what one of my email subscribers said they look like 😀 She said it’d be fun to have a variety of forms like those available to purchase for putting on mantlepieces or filling wire baskets. I like that idea 🙂
