Ammonites, sacred goddess vessels and mandalas, oh myyy!
When I finished the Buddha Mandala sculpture, I gave myself permission to play! The best work can come bubbling out when you stop trying to give yourself a sense of direction. So, these couple of weeks, I let myself enjoy creating for creation’s sake and I love what’s happening!
Sacred geometry (a mandala plaque for one of my Patreon supporters), ammonites (3 so far!), a goddess vessel (the smallest ammonite sits inside the vessel, and yes, that’s a vagina on the side, it just happened!), and I fired a giant tortoise form that I’m going to use as a mold for a series of tortoise shells exploring the myth of the world resting on the back of a tortoise.
And here I felt like I wasn’t getting anything done! Click here to check out (and follow!) my instagram feed for more behind-the-scenes photos of my work in progress!!
Wishing you a week full of finding fossils,
Jenny
