Men’s shell necklace that I handmade from real lava stone and black pen shell. Natural men’s jewelry has never been so explosive. (Volcano joke!) Like the burned side of a volcano after the hot molten magma has cooled to porous stone, this men’s necklace includes real lava stone that’s a nice, strong, brick red color. Why did I make it?

I started to make men’s jewelry when I noticed how relatively few interesting choices there were out there. Just because guys don’t want their necklaces to be flamboyant and luxurious doesn’t mean they don’t deserve good design! It was challenging for me to come up with a line of men’s jewelry (since I’m not one!) but with some helpful suggestions from my guy friends and a willing husband as a test model I started to get the hang of what worked. I really enjoy playing with different bead patterns and stumbling upon unusual materials combinations that hum with awesomeness!

Make sure it’ll fit!

I would be happy to make this men’s surfer necklace any custom length upon request! To check what length necklace would be best for you (or for your gift recipient!) I suggest using something thick like a laptop cord, extension cord or thin rope to measure around the neck with. Since the necklace is ~6-8mm thick, the measurement around the neck is different than if you just measure with a measuring tape or piece of string!
