Wisconsin Nature Photos: Close Encounters

I see a lot of beautiful landscape photography on Pinterest, but when I’m the naturalist behind the camera, I find myself drawn to the small. I like getting close-up and personal with my nature photography, to be still and watch her breathe and change and delight! Here are some macro pics I snagged with my phone in the last month. I love how nature phoneography makes it possible to capture all of the everyday moments that would otherwise slip right by us!

Really cute little snake we came across! A lot of people are afraid of snakes, but they’re so warm and interesting!!

Pink and Orange Seedpods: Too strange and interesting to be made up! I found these on an ornamental bush on my neighborhood walk one day :D

Really awesome fossil that my husband found. It’s in a huge chunk of limestone, I think it’s some kind of coral??

That pink and orange seed pod is amazing! Like mid century modern design in botanical form.
